These women, men, children…

The latest works produced since the pandemic in 2020 until now represent portraits of people I have known in my life.

I celebrate the idea of ​​introspection, I symbolize by the closed eyes of my models  an inner exploration, a journey towards the discovery of inner light.

It is also a form of tranquility which is established in the representation of the face, which would almost relate to meditation.

This voluntary and symbolic blindness puts the spectator in the situation of an observer and not of someone observed.

Obviously the initial approach remains the representation of portraits through “calligraphy”
